IRA BRUCE GABRIEL
PR AND CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE
My Story In 30-Seconds
What makes my background unique is my story: I started on the editorial staff of SPORT Magazine as a field photographer shooting professional sports, including nearly a decade of Super Bowls and major sporting events. I developed a passion for marketing & communications with a skill at leading teams. I spent years in corporate sales for a media company, then publisher of Hot Rod Magazine, before leading the company as their EVP and Publisher of Motor Trend. I oversaw the company's largest licensee and joined a trade association as their VP of Marketing, PR & Communications. I later joined Hyundai Motor America where I focus on crisis communications and strategy for the third-largest auto maker in the world.
If I were to describe my professional wins, it would be the experience of being a Super Bowl and World Series photographer, the opportunity to drive the Hot Rod Magazine brand on a historic redesign, my work leading the COVID-19 crisis communications response team for a national trade association and managing corporate crisis communications for Hyundai.
